Seminars of the Institute

To increase the number of proper quality complaints and improve the level of legal representation in Russian Constitutional Court (RCC) and European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) the Instituted launched a program of seminars on filing complaints to these courts.

Since 2013, the Institute has organized 13 seminars for 425 lawyers from 48 regions of the Russian Federation.  

Each training course is designed to cover a sequence of steps to be taken when applying to the RCC or ECtHR, and comprises of two components:

(1) explanation of the statutory rules for filing an application with the RCC or ECtHR (admissibility criteria compliance; processing of an application after filing);

(2) discussions of common mistakes made by applicants, ways of selecting and structuring arguments in a complaint, enforcement of RCC or ECtHR decisions, etc.

Overall, our seminars provide a comprehensive coverage of legal issues concerning constitutional and international litigation.

Duration: 16 hours (2 days)

Webinars on RCC and ECtHR case law

The Institute regularly holds webinars dedicated to recent RCC and ECtHR cases of high legal and social importance.

Participation is free and lets lawyers and any interested persons to receive an update on latest case law and master their knowledge and skills of analysis and usage of RCC and ECtHR decisions.

We invite leading Russian and foreign experts to hold a discussion and answer question of participants.

Duration: 1.5 hours.
