Seminar
On 26 August, 2010 in St. Petersburg a seminar was organized to discuss the results of the monitoring of the hearings in the magistrate courts, which was implemented in the
second component of the Project on Access to Justice. The seminar brought together magistrate justices, participated in the monitoring, the President of Leningrad Regional Court, Irina Lodyzhenskaya, representatives of the Government of Leningrad region, members of the working group of the Project and representatives of the Agency “Expertiza”, the monitoring executive company.
New Project with participation of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation
In June 2010, the Institute of Law and Public Policy launched a new project supported by the US Russia Foundation for Economic Advancement and the Rule of Law (USRF). This project is the first attempt undertaken within the scope of Russian-American cooperation to establish direct partnership relations between the Justices of the Constitutional Court of Russia and American judges, to create a common discussion and organize exchange of experience on such issues as the rule of law and correlation of public and private interests in solving economic disputes.

Convocation of the Working Group of Coordination Board Project “Access to Justice”
On the 1st of July the Institute of Law and Public Policy convened a working group of the Coordination Board, which is responsible for the strategic management of the Project on access to justice.
