Within the project of the Institute of law and Public «Twenty Years on the Way to Democracy: Strengthening of Constitutional Order in Today’s Russia» you can read the expert comment on the decision of the Constitutional Court of Russia №28-P on the complaint of A. Ostaev. In this decision the Court unanimously claimed unconstitutional the provisions of the Article 261 of the Labour Code that in some cases allowed to dismiss men but not women who have dependent under-age children (for example, because of staff reduction). In the framework of Institute of Law and Public Policy project “Twenty years of democratic way: Strengthening the Constitutional Order in Today’s Russia” the second issue of analytical bulletin “Monitoring of Constitutional Processes in Russia” has come out. This issue of the bulletin is devoted to the problems of federalism in the Russian Federation: strategy of reformation the division of competence between the federation and its subjects, the combination of federalism and “vertical of power”, the conformity of economic aspect of federal relationships and political and legal decisions, formal and informal ways of building the relationships between federation and its subjects.
