New issue of "Comparative Constitutional Review" № 6(73)

New issue of

On December 31, 2009 new issue of the "Comparative Constitutional Review" journal № 6(73) will come out. This time we focused our attention on the problems of studying and teaching comparative constitutional law in Russia. In our opinion, this topic needs to be discussed especially in the context of reformation and modernization of the legal education in Russia. To start the conversation we offer you four papers devoted to the basic world-view and ideological issues and written by V. Kruss, N. Bondar, I. Kenenova and I. Kravets. The other interesting set of papers is represented in the special column “The Individual vs. The State”. The first article, written by L. Paremoer and C. Jung, is devoted to the study of the role of social and economic rights in supporting political opposition on the example of post-apartheid South Africa. The author of the second article, T. Peretti, make an attempt to explain and in some way to defend such phenomena like political construction of human rights on the example of the USA. This issue of the journal contains a lot of rather useful papers on different problems like, for example, political populism or “odd” mandates, regional state or North American states judicial systems.
