Second training of the court observers

A second training of the magistrate court observers was organized on 21 December, 2009 in St. Petersburg in a line with the Project’s second component on the monitoring the hearings in the magistrate courts. The magistrate court observers shared their thoughts and concerns after having completed pilot monitoring in December, 2009. Moderators of the training, Project expert Victor Voronkov and a team leader Lyubov Ezhova, answered the court observers’ questions on the monitoring methodology and clarified some aspects of the monitoring.

It is expected that the monitoring will commence on 11 January, 2010 and will be finished before 31 March. The results of the monitoring along with their thorough and comprehensive analysis will be announced towards the end of 2010.
